چکیده

The aim of the present study was to effects gamma radiation (Cs137) on local variety maize (Zea mays L.) usually cultivated at KENGE for possible track its improvement. approach consisted irradiating corn seeds doses ranging from 0 300 Gy intervals 100 each using CONSERVATOME LISA I irradiator. irradiated were sown a plot 176.40 m2 surface area according device in completely random blocks. In field, some cultural precautions consequent yield have been taken (weeding, ridging same time as weeding, mulching, and watering). Different cultivation parameters determined such germination rate, crown diameter, plant size number leaves / one part and, another part, length cobs, ear kernels/ear, kernel weights per plot.
From results obtained it turned out that dose with average values 67% 220.80 cm plants, 1505 327.25 g behaved well relation witness persons. gave far lower than those (19%, 67.66 cm, 713 90.13 g). these analyzes, is recommend an in-depth improvement LD50 169.33 Gy.

A two-year field experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of nitrogen, composted manure, municipal waste compost, and weeds on yield and photosynthetic characteristics of corn. Experimental design was split split plot factorial with 3 replications. Main plots were weedy and weed-free, sub plots were nitrogen fertilizer levels [0 (N0) and 200 (N200) kg N ha -1 as urea], and sub sub ...

Phenolic profiles of Andean purple corn (Zea mays L.)

Qualitative and quantitative high performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection (HPLC-DAD) was performed to characterize the presence of phenolic compounds in Andean purple corn. Phenolic compounds were analyzed by separating them in two main fractions: a water fraction (WF) and an ethyl acetate fraction (EAF). The WF rich in anthocyanins revealed the presence of cyanidin-3-gluco...
